AGENT ORANGE RURAL HOME VISIT
The legacy of war continues to impact the lives of an estimated 3-million vulnerable families and children exposed to Agent Orange (dioxin) and other toxic agents that were sprayed directly on individuals between 1962-1971. 20-million gallons of Agent Orange were delivered by C-123 Aircraft during Operation Ranch Hand in an effort to defoliate jungles to advance U.S. military operations. Agent Orange is thought to be passed on from family members who were exposed and the consequences on health continue to be experienced even though the war is long over.
The Da Nang Project, Inc. provides much needed medical care, small business grants, food assistance, and home building or improvements, and social connection to rural families affected by Agent Orange-related disabilities. Often, primary caregivers cannot work outside the home as their disabled family member(s) require round the clock care.
Your generous donations will promote peace, reconciliation, and essential care to vulnerable families and children.
